Dr. María Fernanda Ruiz-Ibert de Fernández is the founder and Managing Partner of RUIZ-IBERT LEGAL.
She holds a Doctorate in Law from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and a Master’s degree in Commercial and Financial Law from the Faculté Libre de Droit, Économie et Gestion (FACO) in Paris, France. She has also completed specialized studies in Contractual and Financial Procedures (FED) and in Economics and Finance for European Funds, delivered by the European Commission.
She has over nineteen years of experience advising domestic and international investors, real estate developers, business groups, financial institutions and private clients on corporate, real estate and foreign investment transactions.
Her practice focuses on real estate law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, wealth structuring, trusts, foreign investment and estate planning.
Throughout her career she has taken part in the structuring and negotiation of major real estate and tourism projects, as well as complex corporate transactions, distinguished by strategic vision, a deep knowledge of the Dominican regulatory environment and a firm commitment to protecting her clients’ interests.
Starlyn Terrero studied Law at Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and specializes in international and immigration law, with diplomas from Funjepro. A former Fulbright scholar, he holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation, Public Policy and Development Projects from The University of Columbia Missouri (Mizzou), in the United States.
He has over 10 years of experience advising individuals on all types of immigration processes, as well as designing, monitoring and implementing development projects with organizations such as UN Migration, USAID and the Inter-American Foundation, among others.
He heads the Immigration Department at RUIZ-IBERT LEGAL, where his practice focuses on immigration law, international mobility and foreign investment. He advises individuals, families, investors and companies on residency, naturalization, visas, immigration compliance and setting up operations in the Dominican Republic.
His practice stands out for delivering comprehensive solutions that align immigration matters with each client’s corporate, wealth and real estate needs, enabling secure and efficient processes for those who choose to live or invest in the country.
Dania Espiritusanto graduated from Universidad Católica del Este (UCADE) with a Law degree. She has furthered her professional training through specialized programs in Real Estate Law, Anti-Money Laundering in Real Estate Transactions, and Corporate and Business Law, delivered by the Academia Jurídica Nacional (AJN), Dominican Republic.
She has over five (5) years of experience in legal practice, working in corporate, real estate, tax and contract law. Throughout her career she has advised domestic and international companies, investors, developers and private clients on business structuring, real estate transactions, corporate matters and investment projects.
She has extensive experience in due diligence, contract negotiation and drafting, corporate reorganizations, real estate transaction structuring and ongoing legal counsel to companies, providing legal solutions geared toward legal certainty, risk prevention and the protection of her clients’ interests.
Her practice is distinguished by technical rigor, personalized attention and a commitment to efficient, practical legal solutions aligned with each client’s objectives.
Riucani Ruiz graduated in Law from Universidad Católica del Este (UCADE).
Her practice focuses on Corporate Law, Real Estate Law and Company Law, supporting legal counsel to companies and individuals. Her work includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, incorporating and maintaining commercial companies, handling corporate and real estate filings, and following up on proceedings before the relevant institutions.
She is distinguished by her commitment to responsibility and attention to detail, aiming to deliver efficient and reliable legal service. As a continually developing professional, she maintains a strong interest in deepening her knowledge and contributing to legal solutions that meet each client’s needs.
